The independent community group Christmas in Boston which was set up to raise the funds to light up Boston this Christmas is delighted to announce that thanks to our local business sponsors and donors, to date, a total of £23,077.98 has been raised.

This includes the match-funding of £10,000 from BTAC (Boston Town Area Committee)

There is still time to offer your support if you wish.

Remember a lost loved one or close friend with a Memorial lantern. Still available at the shop in the Stump for £20.

These are going quick so do make sure you get yours when you can.

For every lantern sold, £5 gets donated towards St Botolph’s.

Speaking of the announcement, committee chairman, Dylan Taylor, said:
“Absolutely overwhelmed by Boston’s generosity. What a fantastic, positive outcome. We can stand proud as a town and say we did this and we did great.

“I would like to express my deep thanks to our brilliant team of volunteers who have been meeting weekly in their own time and have got over every hurdle to bring the project to this point.

“We cannot wait to surprise people later this year.

“Christmas in Boston is going to look brighter than ever before.”
